Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole (2010)

This movie was based on the first three books in the series “Guardians of Ga’Hoole” by Kathryn Lasky.
The story is about Soren, a young owl who is kidnapped while he was learning to fly and he gets to see that all the stories his father told him are true. The owls of St. Aggie’s are evil and use young owls by brainwashing them and making them work hard or become soldiers. Soren manages to escape and makes new friends who help him get to the island of Ga’Hoole and help the noble owls there fight the new army created at St. Aggie’s. Even worse Soren has to fight his own brother who chooses the dark side. Will he make it?… Just watch!
Well first of all I had low expectations for this one, because the add said: “From the studio that brought you Happy Feet”, and I didn’t like that one… Also the owls idea was all weird…
But they proved me wrong and I had a nice surprise. I actually liked the movie, and the animation quality… wow! It was impressive! Yeah the owls choice was a bit weird, but they made them so interesting! And the story was quite good and different! 2 thumbs up!
I would totally watch it again, but in 3D… I really wonder how it would be like to see this in 3D.
Don’t miss this one, it’s really interesting! My rating: 8.3/10
